Cotton drill fabric

Cotton drill is one of those time-honoured fabrics made for centuries, well before textile production grew on an industrial scale. Kiplay Vintage has faithfully redeveloped this 100% cotton drill, 400 g/m², based on a fabric (cotton sheets) made in the 1950s at the Flers weaving workshops

The double-warp weaving produces a striped pattern with its thrown dyed threads.

Kiplay Vintage has decided to make jackets, waistcoats and trousers, in its long-standing workshops in Normandy, out of this iconic fabric because of its authentic look and durability.

This fabric is unique in France and worldwide.

Prioritising quality over quantity.

In the space of a hundred years, Kiplay’s history will have shown us the importance of meticulously managing the design and manufacture of our garments. The decision to produce solely in France gives us a perfect grasp over the advantages that we promise you today. As such, the emphasis we place on quality means comfortable, durable clothing for you. Our garments will thus become part of your own life story by giving you many years of wear.

Every day, our workshops in Saint-Pierre-D’Entremont (Normandy) send out garments that have been wholly crafted on their premises. This commitment to French design is, for us, the guarantee that we have complete control over the quality of our clothing. Kiplay, just like many other brands, is working hard today to promote the craftsmanship and expertise of French production workshops. We are all eager to embrace or reconnect with production that is attentive to the smallest details and to each finish.
